Kathy,
I was so happy when you found a spot in Clemmons Village 1 for my dad, Paul (Papa) Duffey. The care that you and your staff gave him was exceptional, to say the least. Dad always looked forward to the visits with so many of the "helpers" and even though his way was not always convenient - you, Kaye, Jamie and the others were always accommodating.

For that I will be forever grateful. He loved the special things, especially the poached eggs every morning and those occasional milk shakes that Kaye would surprise him with when he was having a rough day. Also, the support that you gave me, helping me to cope and understand the stages that he was experiencing was such a comfort. We shared some tears and many laughs during his 3 year stay that will never be forgotten.

When it was time for him to leave and go to the Skilled Nursing level it was hard to leave what we called home. I often reflect back in my memories of "our time with you" and feel that comfort.

I have recommended your Village(s) to others and only hope that if they choose to come stay with you they too will feel the love that we felt. My sincere thanks to you Kathy, and your entire staff of helpers.

Roberta (Berta) Hart, daughter to Paul Duffey.

"Hi Kay

Words can never express my gratitude toward you and all the family at Clemmons Village. You guys loved Carl back to health so many times. I am so glad he was able to die "at home". The staff last night were so kind and compassionate.

I will be out Monday to get Carl's things. His service is Sunday at 2 at Germanton Baptist Church. Paige can tell you where that is.

I believe in Angels now, as Carl & I have been surrounded by them daily there at CV1. I will be in touch soon.

Please thank all his family members (staff) for me until i can give them the proper thanks they all deserve."

With love and sadness,
Beth

"Dear Kathy, Kaye, James, Kelly and the Entire Staff at Clemmons Village 1:

I, along with my family want to thank you all for everything that you did to help my father, R.H. Haack. You took him in on very short notice, kept him safe, warm, and comforted him "under your wings" while he was in your care. I cannot tell you how much it has meant to all of us (including R.H. though I am sure he rarely told you).

When the hospital called on Monday night to let us know he had passed on, it was quite a shock to all of us but at least we all know now that he is at Peace and hopefully Happy.

Please know that we love you all, appreciate everything you have done for both R.H. and also Elma (Joe's Mom) and wish for nothing but the best for you and your wonderful facility.

Yesterday would have been R.H.'s 83rd birthday and his favorite cake was "Angel Food". Please share these cakes with as many folks at CV-1 as you can... He would've enjoyed the party!

Thank you & God Bless You All!"
